I love these two talks. If you still haven't, please watch these talks. The first one teaches you the courage to think from first principles. The second one teaches you APIs not just as interfaces but as contracts about power.

I plan to share some ideas I found interesting during my programming work in this blog, and many of them share the fundamental idea shared in the above two talks: they were quite influential to me.
